Hayden,

Thanks for weighing in. I hear you loud and clear.

I believe that the anxiety that money causes in our lives is a direct result of our fears over economic insecurity. We're always worried about what will happen tomorrow, not today. We've been conditioned to believe in the Slave - Save - Retire mentality (as coined by Tim Ferriss). That if we work really hard and sacrifice today, everything will work out in the end - eventually. The key is to feel secure in the moment, knowing we're doing the right things, and not obsess about what things will look like in 5, 10, or 20 years.

I honestly don't know. I am married to an incredible person and we haven't had children yet because we can't afford them. Though I don't obsess about money, and am blessed to live in the nexus, thinking about money makes me anxious. I am trying to use that as a motivator.

No matter what, though, being grateful for my spouse and our amazing relationship keeps me focused and balanced.
