How do you find your calling and get into something you stick with? Evan Carmichael from Youngentrepreneur blog referenced a Fast Company article that suggested there are three steps involved. Ask yourself two tough questions (what do I want? and how will I know when I get it?), write a master dream list and talk with a partner.
Evan Carmichael wrote in a recent Youngentrepreneur blog post titled “How To Find Your Calling” and posed the following question: “So how do you find your calling and get into something you stick with?”Evan referenced a Fast Company article that suggested three steps:
- “Ask yourself 2 tough questions: What do I want? and How will I know when I get it?
- Write a master dream list: List all the things you dream of doing before you die. Let yourself go. Quantity is the key. List as many of your dreams as you can without heed to limitations.
- Talk with a partner: Dreaming and scheming can place stress upon your closest relationships. Practice this exercise along with a partner in order to share the experience and learn each other’s dreams.”
I couldn’t agree more.
Not only does being self-employed require passion, vision, creativity, sacrifice, commitment, and drive, it also requires focus, follow-through, and staying power.
