To be in service to others, to be in service to my family, to be in service to my community...we have big lives with more information than ever, but we seem to miss the day to day building of community. I have found that taking time to be creative and also organizing my life allows me to "see" and take some small actions. What can I change? What is beyond my abilities? Having small amounts of time to focus gives me the ability to take the focus off of myself (as in...how can I help them when I cannot even get to work on time?) to getting to work on time, and taking things off my plate that are just not a necessity. Knowing that my actions help or support another...that IS a necessity. I could go on, but I will stop here:) Glad to have found your blog. I will return often. In general we're very overwhelmed and although yes we see all th things that we could and should do but our lives sometimes don't allow for all of it. With that said I do think that when we see these minor injustices and problems in our world we should do something about it - even if we miss 90% of them just getting off our butts and doing something will go a long way to getting back to being human. I agree that we should wake up and be part of the human race again unfortunately a great many of us are stuck in a different race – the rat race. In general we’re very overwhelmed and although yes we see all th things that we could and should do but our lives sometimes don’t allow for all of it.
