David, I have always known that if I don't get my "me time" then I am worthless. I need more than many people. However, it is easy to fall into the trap of neglecting this time, especially if you own a business. Taking that time everyday is crucial though. I can't say enough about the book "Time Power" that shows you how to take that time and shows you how to do the really important things so that you have more free time to take.

By the way, I tried meditation for the first time last week - a 4 1/2 hour session. It was really good. I didn't feel the effects so much until the next day. I felt so much peace. I can't wait to do it again. Do you meditate?

"Me time" also re-energises the batteries! So I agree take 30 minutes away from your desk and take part in an activity you like.
