John,

Thanks for the visit, taking the time to share, and for your kind words.

I believe that balance is, and will continue to be, one of our lifetime's defining issues. I also believe that those who debate it's meaning are missing the point.

Balance is whatever you define it to be. For me, it's being careful to avoid extremes. What helps me to avoid those extremes, as you've illustrated, is living a life that mirrors as closely as possible my deepest held values and beliefs. When my actions match those convictions, I'm Ok. When they don't, my family and others close to me help remind me where I need to be.

David,

What a great post. Simple ideas make all the difference.

And I think that simple sometimes make people back away from certain ideas. We have a tendency especially now a days with all the flashy technology to forget that it's the simple ideas that make all the difference.

Just a quick thought on balance, it sounds like you have a great relationship with your family, and sometimes that is enough to help in those times when we are somewhat out of balance, which can happen when you are starting a new business, running your own business or helping someone in their business.

The relationship you have with your family is also a key to this working.

Here's to your LifetoSuccess,

John Clark
