Someone challenged the idea that the world is competitive and suggested you lighten up, or something along those lines. I think that is a highly competitive statement in itself.... competing viewpoints, if you will. I don't feel that the word competitive equates to "combative" and yes, I DO feel pulled in multiple directions in my life, with priorities, time, people and events all "competing" against each other. And yes, I do think it's wise to try and live and work in ways that keep your head in the game, so to speak. In other words, I don't have a problem with the concept of competitiveness - I think it still exists in everyday life no matter what we're calling it or whether we're even acknowledging it!
