Great advice. We can’t control; everything, can we? Sometimes having confidence and faith means that things will happen, but maybe not in the way and in the time we expect them to.

First, I would like to say thank you for responding to my post at the Carnival of Small Business Issues.
I enjoyed reading your post as well, as I do believe follow through is difficult for many people, however, you provided some great ways to combat getting stuck and ways to move forward. Another thing that may help as well, is to remember not everything is going to happen all at once. Map out a project in stages and break the stages down into weekly or even daily steps to help accomplish those goals we have set for ourselves.

Cutting one’s losses, especially after one has much invested in a project or process, is easier said than done. The mental gyrations that occur -”Should I keep going? Am I a quitter if I don’t finish this?” – create havoc for us. better that we focus on what we love.

I think you also make a good point about only starting things you are passionate about. I know I find it harder to work on client projects that don’t inspire me in some way.
