Indeed a balance is needed. I feel the easiest way to keep the balance between labor and relationships is gratitude.

Be grateful for all that you are, all that you have, your family, friends, and loved ones. Have gratitude for life itself and the ability to have experiences in first place! When you do that then life will open up to you grateful experiences, thus each and everyday there will be more and more to be grateful for in every moment of your life!

"When your mind is intently focused on what you are doing, and you spend so long at it that your rear end hurts from being in a chair so long, or your muscles ache from using them, yet you never realized the passage of time because you were so engaged – that is hard labor."

This is where the insanity of the 40-hour work week is exposed. By putting people in a box and telling them they must spend a certain number of hours there, we destroy much of the creativity and hard work that produces meaningful results both for companies and individuals. We need to imagine ways to transform our workforce from time and location based to production or "good to the world" based.
